#895 Liodentra

Liodentra – Holiday Villas, Kardamyli, Greece Architecture and Engineering by Detale
Completed 2006
Liodentra is a carefully crafted holiday complex located in the historic village of Kardamyli, in southern Greece. Designed and engineered by Detale, the project includes two family villas and an annex, conceived as a seamless extension of the local landscape and architectural heritage.

From concept to construction, the project embodies our integrated approach—where architectural sensitivity meets technical precision. Built with local stone, the structures echo the traditional forms and materials of the Mani region, while offering contemporary comfort and functionality. This balance between past and present is central to our design philosophy.
Each two-storey villa comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area, kitchen, and private terraces. The spatial layout is designed to encourage both privacy and connection to the outdoors, with open views to the garden and discreet access to a naturally integrated swimming pool.

Interior details reinforce the authenticity of place:
wooden window frames, lime-washed walls, and custom straw-clad ceilings create a warm, tactile environment rooted in local tradition. Every element—from structural systems to material selection—was chosen with care to ensure durability, harmony with the surroundings, and an enduring architectural character.

Liodentra stands as an example of how design and engineering can come together to create spaces that are both timeless and deeply contextual.
